In the Spirit of Love; the world will see God!

Deuteronomy 6: 1-9; The Great Commandment

Verse 1; Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

Verse 2; That thou mightiest (stand in awe of) fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

Verse 3; Hear therefore, O Israel, and (be careful to observe) observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase (be careful to observe) mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Verse 4; Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Verse 5; And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Verse 6; And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Verse 7; And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Verse 8; And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Verse 9; And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

God gave the children of Israel a Commandment for them to Love him. This was a commandment which they were to remember and keep for the rest of their lives. They were to teach all of their children; from the time they went to sleep; to the time they woke up; whenever they sat down or rose up. This law was to be in their hearts forever. To remember, this commandment; they were instructed to bind it upon their hand; and put it between their eyes. They were also instructed to write it upon the posts of their house and on the gate. God’s Commandment to Love was never ever to be forgotten.

Jeremiah 31: 33, 34; The New Covenant

Verse 33; But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their (Mind) inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Verse 34; And they shall teach, no more every man his neighbor, And every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

God promised to make a new covenant; a new agreement; a new contract with Israel. God said; he would put his law in the mind and write it upon the heart. God even said; he would teach everyone his law.

Law of God confirmed by Jesus – Matthew 22:37-40

Verse 37; Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Verse 38; This is the first and great commandment.

Verse 39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Verse 40; On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The law of God: to love is a spiritual law.

Every law pertaining to the flesh: is governed by; comes under the law of God.

God’s law is spiritual

How is it possible for those living in the flesh; be able to keep a law which is spiritual?

Not one individual living in the flesh could keep the spiritual law; to love God.

Every man, woman and child was found guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments. And all were condemned with the penalty of death. Under the Old Covenant; not one person could be saved from their sin. Under the Old Covenant, there was no Savior. There was a promise; God would send his only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world.

Promises of God Fulfilled

Joel 2:28; And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Only after Jesus Christ died on the Cross for the sins of the world and was resurrected; not before but afterward. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants who lived by faith: believing without any doubt; in full confidence and assurance God is faithful to fulfill his promise were accounted righteous.

Accounted Righteous

How can a sinner be accounted; be declared righteous – perfect, blameless and holy.

God is perfect, blameless, righteous and holy.

God is love. God is a Spirit. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.

This marvelous, wonderful and amazing miracle was given to all of the world when Jesus died on the Cross and was resurrected.

God poured out his Spirit upon all flesh; to help the world believe in his Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus died for the sins of the world and set sinners free from living in the flesh under the Old Covenant.

Those living in the New Covenant; by faith: believe, without any doubt; in full confidence and assurance in Jesus Christ are made perfect, blameless, righteous and holy through the “Blood of the Lamb of God.”

Under the New Covenant; agreement; contract; There is a commandment to love God and a commandment to worship God in spirit and in truth.

John 4:24; God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Jesus said; I am the way, the truth and the life.

Only through Jesus Christ can one come and worship God in spirit and in truth.

Only through the help of the Holy Spirit can one love God and neighbor.

John 3:6, 7; That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Matthew 11:28; Jesus said; Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Many do not have a clear understanding of Scripture, the Word of God, the Bible.

Those who remain in the flesh; without the Light; without the Holy Spirit; have rejected the works of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:13, 14; Which things we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Without faith and trusting in themselves; many will live in the flesh without the Spirit of God and will observe the Old Covenant law of Ten Commandment and seventh-day sabbath.

Conclusion:

The Spiritual Law to Love God and Neighbor can be observed only through living in the power of the Holy Spirit which God poured out upon all flesh. Those living and walking in the Holy Spirit will keep the spiritual commandment to love God and neighbor and remain, abide, dwell in Jesus Christ; the spiritual sabbath rest.

Those who remain and live in the flesh; without the Light; without the Spirit of God; cannot discern spiritual things. They are not able to believe in the works of God. Without faith in God; believing in their own works; many will not enter the kingdom of God and shall perish forever.
