“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” – John 12:13 (NIV)
#SoulfulSunday ushers in Holy Week—a time of deep reflection, sacred remembrance, and profound hope. On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, greeted with shouts of “Hosanna!” by those who would soon witness the greatest act of love the world has ever known.
At the same time, we acknowledge the meaning of Passover, when God’s deliverance was marked by the blood of the lamb and the faithfulness of His people.
We prepare our hearts for Good Friday, when Christ, our perfect Lamb, would lay down His life, and for Easter, when death is defeated and eternal hope is risen.
This week is a journey—from celebration to sacrifice, from sorrow to resurrection. As we walk through it, may we open our hearts to the depth of Jesus’ love, the power of His promise, and the joy of the new life He offers.
Reflection for prayer journaling:
- What does this Holy Week reveal about God’s love for you?
- How can you honor His sacrifice and prepare your heart for the joy of the resurrection?
As always, take a deep breath, lay your burdens at His feet, and allow His peace to fill your heart.
🙏 Prayer for Palm Sunday:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for walking the road to the cross—for choosing love, surrender, and sacrifice for my sake. As I enter this Holy Week, help me to reflect on the wonder of Your grace and the victory of Your resurrection. May I live in the freedom You purchased, and share Your love with others.
Amen.”
