When Jesus, the Son of God was crucified on that fateful Friday afternoon, at a place called Golgatha, there were possibly hundreds even thousands who came to witness this historical event. Simon was there, a man of Cyrene, who carried the cross upon which Jesus was to be crucified. The chief priests and elders were there persuading the frenzied mob to ask Pilate to set Barabbas a prisoner free and to crucify Jesus called Christ. The soldiers who provided security for the governor Pilate was there with the rest of the company of soldiers. The disciples, Mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, were there along with hundreds who witnessed or benefited from the miracles Jesus performed in their lives.
The two thieves were there with many who ridiculed, struck and spat upon Jesus. God, the Father and the Holy Ghost were there with thousands upon thousands of angels. They all witnessed and heard Jesus cry out loud, Eli, Eli lama sabachthani? My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? The loneliness Jesus Christ experienced while hanging on the cross was worse than death itself. Jesus, the Son of God, who never did sin, became the sacrifice for the sins of the world.
Upon the cross, for the very first time, Jesus experienced a separation from the love of God, His Father. He cried out to His Father, because He entered into a place without form and void, existing only in the flesh without the Spirit of God, He was in total and complete darkness. The moment Jesus died for the sins of the world, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom, there was a great earth quake, graves opened and saints which slept arose. The centurion with the rest of the soldiers who were guarding Jesus heard, felt and saw all of what was happening and with great fear said, “Truly, this was the Son of God.”
Jesus Christ the Son of God said “It is finished.” Because Adam sinned, mankind was separated from God. The death of Jesus made it possible for mankind to be united with the Most Holy God. Because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world, mankind has been set free from the death penalty caused by sin. Mankind has been “born again” reconciled, made right with God the Father, with the indwelling Spirit of God, set free, no longer under the curse of the law. The “Plan of Salvation” is finished and mankind has been saved because of GRACE!
The Church of Christ is made up of individuals who are members of the body of Christ. This is the true church, the remnant church of Revelation and for whom Jesus is coming back again! These individual members put their faith in Jesus Christ. They see others better than themselves because they believe Jesus died for all of mankind, for all sinners. They see others as children of God, because they believe all were adopted into the family of God when Jesus rose up out of the grave. Their righteousness is in Jesus Christ. They believe in righteousness by faith because they have been taught by the Spirit of God, to know of themselves, they are nothing, can do nothing and have no righteousness of themselves.
They believe, Jesus is the Son of God and what He accomplished for them at the cross and resurrection.
"For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ."
Romans 12:4, 5; For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same (function) office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and (individually) every one members one of another.
Corinthians 10:16, 17; The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the (Lit. fellowship) communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the (Lit. fellowship) communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Matthew 26:25-28; Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, (Gr. Rabbi) Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast (said it) said. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat, this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink (Drink from it, all of you) ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the (forgiveness) remission of sins.
Jesus, knowing Judas would betray Him, included Judas in the Last Supper. Well, if that isn’t love! God, the Father, Son Jesus and Holy Spirit conspired, ordained, predestined for all sinners to have a place in the heavenly kingdom through the “Plan of Salvation.”
Ephesians 4:4-8; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Corinthians 1:13, 17; Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of non effect.
Members of the body of Christ, the Church of Christ, believe, teach and preach the gospel of Christ. Salvation has already been accomplished for all of mankind and we are saved by grace.
From the word of God, If they speak not according to the word, it is because there is no light in them!
Jude 3; Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was (once for all) once delivered unto the saints.
Hebrews 6:4-6; For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the (age) world to come, If they fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God (again) afresh, and put him to open shame.
Hebrews 10:29; Of how much (worse)sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath (trampled) trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, (a common) an unholy thing, and hath (insulted) done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Malachi 2:10; Have we not all one father? Hath not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
1 Corinthians 8:6; But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we (for) in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we (live by) by him.

Colossians 1:22; In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:

When Jesus Christ the Son of God said, “It is finished.” The entire universe understood what Jesus was saying but not the inhabitants of Earth. Earth was the only place where sin was permitted to exist. Separated from the love of God, without the Spirit of God, earth’s inhabitants existed in a world without form and void, in complete darkness. They could not comprehend their need of the Light necessary to bring them out of darkness. From the stories of Noah and the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah we have an understanding, without the true Light, mankind in spiritual darkness, could not love God and others.
Scholars of Theology for centuries and today, experts with a Master or Doctorate degrees have led many to believe mankind cannot understand spiritual things. They teach and preach when Adam sinned, he was condemned with the penalty of death. Adam through his seed infected his children with the sin DNA. Created with a depraved mind, they could not help themselves and would continue to sin. Today, many religious organizations believe and teach a new born babe comes into this world with sin in their DNA. They believe mankind will be changed and given a nature in which they will not sin, only, after Jesus comes again. Members of various churches are being led to believe in doctrines which lead them to an understanding which is contrary to the word of God.
John 3: 12; Jesus said to Nicodemus, If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
